What is Exporting?
Quick Start
Finish your mix
Set the volume and speed of each track how you want them in the Play tool.
Press Export WAV
Click the Export WAV button, which sits next to the Save and Open buttons.
Choose, name and save
First choose your device, Google Drive or OneDrive. The final window shows that destination and lets you name the WAV before saving.
Save or Export?
Save Your Project
Keeps all your tracks separate in a project file so you can carry on editing. Only opens in School Sounds.
Export as WAV
Mixes everything into one sound file that plays anywhere — but can't be split back into separate tracks.
Handy Tips!
• Save first: Always save your project too, so you can keep editing after you export.
• Check your mix: Play everything together before exporting to make sure it sounds right.
• Share it easily: A WAV file can be sent in a message, added to a video, or played in any music app.
Common Questions
Can I edit a WAV file again in School Sounds?
You can import it as a single track, but the separate tracks are gone once it is mixed. Keep your project file for full editing.
Does export include the volume and speed I set?
Yes. The export mixes the tracks exactly as they sound in the Play tool.
Only want one part?
Use Save a Selection to save just the marked piece of a single track instead.
