What is the Zoom Tool?

The Zoom tool changes how much of a track you can see. Zoom in to see the sound wave up close for careful editing, or zoom out to see the whole track at once. When you are zoomed in, use the scrubber panel in the Edit tool to move along the track.

Quick Start

Choose the Zoom tool

Click the magnifying glass in the toolbar.

Pick a zoom level

Use the zoom buttons in the panel at the bottom, or the quick presets like x8 and x12 to jump straight to a bigger view.

Handy Tips!

• Zoom before you edit: A bigger view makes it much easier to mark exactly the right spot.

• Lost your place? Choose Fit to zoom all the way out and see the whole track again.

• Use the scrubber: When zoomed in, the scrubber panel in the Edit tool is the easy way to move around.

Common Questions

I zoomed in and now I can't find my sound.

Use the scrubber slider in the Edit tool to move along the track, or choose Fit to zoom back out.

Does zooming change my sound?

No. Zoom only changes how much you see — it never changes the track itself.
